Drop-Off Info
Life is hectic and we know you are pressed for time. That’s why we created our convenient Drop-Off, Fax or Email service. If you don’t have time to wait in the office for a preparer, or wait while the return is prepared, we would encourage you to take advantage of our Drop-Off, Fax or Email Service.
When using our Drop-Off, Fax or Email service, you can minimize your time in the office by:
Completing our Client Information Form. Come by our office, Fax us, or scan and Email your completed forms and your tax documents (that’s anything you’ve received in the mail that says “Important Tax Documents” on the envelope) and leave them at our front office.
Some of the important documents that many of our clients have are:
- Wage Statements – Form W-2’s
- Social Security Cards(s) (Taxpayer and Spouse)
- Current Driver’s License(s)
- Dependent’s Social Security Cards and Dates of Birth
- Last Year’s Federal and State Tax Returns
- Pension, IRA, 401(k), Social Security Distributions
- Receipts and Documentation for Itemized Deductions, such as:
- Medical Expenses
- Affordable Care Act Information (Obamacare)
- Mortgage Interest
- Property Taxes
- Unreimbursed Employment Related Expense
- Child Care Expenses
- Alimony Paid or Received
- Charitable Contributions
Of course, you are welcome to simply walk in our office, (directly across the street from Leo’s in Howland) and Drop-Off your information. We’d be happy to help you with the items listed above.
A preparer will review your paperwork and forms and contact you within 24 hours. If we have received all necessary paperwork, a basic return is completed by that time. If we need additional information, we will explain what we need during our conversation with you. Please be sure to provide phone numbers where you can be reached to resolve any outstanding questions.
Once the return is completed, we will notify you to come in to our office at your convenience and sign the paperwork before we can electronically file the return. With Drop-Off returns, you will not need to wait when you return. Just let the receptionist know you are ready to sign your Drop-Off or Faxed return. You will be put at the front of the line to meet with the next preparer who will get your signatures and make sure we have all the required forms (e.g. W2s, 1099s, etc.).
Signature(s):
Don’t forget to pick up and sign! Even though your return is being processed electronically, you must review the return and sign Form 8879 in our office.
Payment for preparation is expected at time of pickup.
